Make Me a Password is a free, browser-based password generator built around a simple idea: creating a strong password shouldn’t require an account, a download, or handing over your data to anyone.

What We Do

Every password this site generates is created entirely on your device using your browser’s cryptographically secure random number generator. Nothing is transmitted to a server, nothing is logged, and nothing is stored. Close the tab, and the password is gone unless you’ve saved it yourself.

Why We Built This

Most password breaches don’t come from clever hacking — they come from weak, reused, or predictable passwords. A good password generator removes the guesswork and the temptation to reuse “Password123” across ten different accounts. We wanted a tool that was fast, free, transparent about how it works, and genuinely private, without ads-first design or dark patterns pushing you toward a paid upgrade.

How It Works

• No backend. This site has no database and no server-side processing for password generation.
• No accounts. There’s nothing to sign up for and nothing tied to your identity.
• No tracking of generated passwords. We have no way to see what you generate, because it never leaves your browser.
• Open about limitations. This is a generation tool, not a password manager. We recommend storing your passwords in a dedicated password manager rather than a note or spreadsheet.
